Why is it important to ask ourselves what is our relationship with money? Because the way we relate to money, the type of bond we establish with it, speaks volumes about us and certain aspects of our personality.
Because if we want to improve the relationship we have with our money, it is necessary to first analyze what type of link we establish with it, within what paradigms we move.
And when I talk about money, I mean that instrument that by itself has no identity, but acquires it based on the value it has for each one of us.
Our perception and our relationship with money arises from an interaction of variables, among them, our family, the society in which we were raised, the socio-cultural context in which we grew up, the values that have been transmitted to us.
Beyond having had a comfortable life economically or with scarcity, all human beings maintain a complex relationship with money , having been born into a wealthy family as well as one where there was always economic poverty.
WHAT RELATIONSHIP DO WE HAVE WITH MONEY? BECAUSE WITH MONEY AN EMOTIONAL RELATIONSHIP IS ALWAYS ESTABLISHED.»
We hold stories and beliefs about money that transcend us and which reflect the cultural ideologies in which we are immersed.
Guilt is one of the best allies when it comes to boycotting a healthy conception of money .
Guilt for having and guilt for not having.
Guilt as a feeling that paralyzes, anguishes, frustrates and hinders. Guilt placed on the sidewalk in front of ambition,an emotion that I do consider necessary to grow, set goals, objectives and carry out concrete actions to achieve them.
Fear also prevents us from being judicious and analyzing as objectively as possible what should be done at one time and what should be done at another, in terms of money movements, expenses, investments, savings, distribution, etc.
Money has to do with values and preferences. It is an element of exchange, but each one decides the value that they give to money, as a currency of exchange and how much is worth what they want to obtain to invest the money in it (a product, a service or what we want to acquire).
In the same way, when evaluating the price we place on our services or products, what we develop and choose to live in, we are the ones who decide what value what we sell has and what value it will have for the one who I bought it.
Now, we have the right and the responsibility to choose what type of mentality we want to inhabit, that is, what view we want to have on money and what are the habits that we are going to acquire based on that mentality to which we adhere.
We can opt for a scarcity mentality or an abundance mentality.
It will not be possible to have an abundant life and a prosperous business or project if we maintain a relationship of disgust, fight and discomfort with money.
It is important to stop seeing money as a dirty word and demystify the place in which it has been culturally located for many people.
You cannot have a life of abundance and a prosperous business or project if money bothers you
When you are convinced of your desires, your project, your path, your goal and take actions accordingly, with perseverance and learning from the obstacles and mistakes that are made in the process, money will end up arising as a consequence of good decisions executed and of having been able to establish a link in which that tool is a means and in any case a consequence or result and not an end in itself.
Registering the type of relationship we are having with money and being able to detect if that type of relationship is facilitating or hindering the path of our development and growth, is what will allow us to make the right decisions to achieve our goals.
By improving our relationship with money and with ambition as a positive emotion, we can truly prosper without sabotaging our dreams and progress.
